General questions
What is IPTV?
IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) delivers TV channels and on-demand programmes over your broadband connection instead of satellite, cable or an aerial.
What does iBest UK IPTV include?
Thousands of live channels from the UK and abroad, a large library of films and series on demand, a TV guide, catch-up on supported channels and support by WhatsApp and email.
Do I need a satellite dish or aerial?
No. All you need is a broadband connection and a compatible device such as a Firestick or Smart TV.
Can I watch outside the UK?
Yes. The service works over any reasonable internet connection, so you can watch on holiday or if you live abroad.
Is IPTV legal in the UK?
IPTV technology is legal and used by many licensed services. Viewers are responsible for making sure the content they watch is licensed. Our guide on IPTV and UK law explains the details.
Pricing & plans
What plans are available?
Choose 1, 3, 6 or 12 months with 1, 2, 3 or 4 simultaneous devices. Device count is independent of subscription length. Contact support separately about legacy Lifetime availability.
Is there a contract?
No. Each plan is a one-off payment for a fixed period, with no automatic renewal.
Can I upgrade my plan?
Yes. Contact support and we'll upgrade you, taking any remaining time into account.
Do you offer discounts for longer plans?
Yes — the monthly cost falls as the plan length increases. The 12-month plan has the lowest monthly cost of the term plans.
Firestick & streaming devices
Which Firestick should I buy?
The Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max. They're fast, support 4K and have enough storage for the best player apps.
Which app should I use on Firestick?
IPTV Smarters is the simplest to start with. TiviMate offers a more traditional TV guide. Both work with our service.
Why can't I find the IPTV app in the Amazon store?
Most IPTV players are installed using the Downloader app. Our Firestick guide shows each step.
Can I use an Android TV box?
Yes. Android boxes, Nvidia Shield and Google TV devices all run the leading players from the Play Store.
Smart TVs
Does it work on Samsung and LG TVs?
Yes. Install a player such as IBO Player, Smart STB or another supported app from the TV's app store, then add your login or send us your TV's MAC address.
My Smart TV is quite old — will it work?
TVs from around 2018 onwards usually have suitable apps. For older models, a Firestick plugged into an HDMI port is the easiest solution.
Do Smart TV apps cost extra?
Some players charge a small one-off activation fee after a free period. That fee goes to the app developer, not to us.
Channels & content
Can I check whether a channel is included?
Yes — ask support, or check the live list in your player during the free trial.
Is there a TV guide?
Yes. An electronic programme guide (EPG) is included for most channels, and players load it automatically with an Xtream Codes login.
Is there catch-up?
Catch-up is available on supported channels. On the 12-month and Lifetime plans it covers up to 7 days.
Are there kids' channels and parental controls?
Yes. Kids' channels are included, and the leading player apps let you lock categories with a PIN.
Sport & football
Are sports channels included?
Yes. Every plan includes the same live line-up with sports channels. Availability of specific channels can vary, so check during your free trial.
Is 4K available for sport?
Yes, where the source is broadcast in 4K. You'll need around 25 Mbps for a steady 4K stream.
What if a stream drops during a big match?
Try another quality version of the channel if one is listed, restart the app, and message support so we can check the stream.
Technical & troubleshooting
What internet speed do I need?
Around 10 Mbps per HD stream and 25 Mbps per 4K stream. A wired connection or 5 GHz Wi-Fi gives the best results.
Why is my stream buffering?
Usually Wi-Fi signal, network congestion or an overloaded device. Restart your router and device, move closer to the router or use Ethernet. Our buffering guide has more fixes.
What does 'max connections reached' mean?
More screens are streaming than your plan allows. Stop playback on another device, or upgrade to a plan with more screens.
Do I need a VPN?
Not usually. Some viewers use one for privacy or if their broadband provider slows streaming traffic.
The TV guide shows the wrong times
Check the time zone setting in your player and on your device. Our time-zone guide explains how to fix it.
