The Premier League is the most-watched league in the world, and from the 2025–26 season more matches are televised live in the UK than ever before.

What you need

1. A quality subscription

Stable sports channels at peak times matter most. Test at 3pm and 5:30pm on a Saturday during your free trial.

2. A capable device

Fire TV Stick 4K or 4K Max, Apple TV 4K, an Android TV box or a recent Smart TV.

3. Decent broadband

Match-day setup

Wired vs Wi-Fi

Ethernet is the single biggest improvement for live football. Firesticks need an Ethernet adapter; most boxes have a port.

4K vs HD

On 55-inch screens and above, 4K is worth it when available. On smaller screens or slower lines, HD is the safer choice.

How to set up step by step

  1. Install TiviMate or IPTV Smarters.
  2. Sign in and add the sports channels to favourites.
  3. Check kick-off times in the TV guide.
  4. Test 15 minutes before kick-off.
  5. Keep a backup player app installed.

Watching on the go

Use the same login on your phone or tablet — on Wi-Fi where possible (HD uses about 3 GB an hour).
