Open an IPTV app for the first time and you might see hundreds of categories and thousands of channels. That's the point of IPTV — UK and international TV in one place — but it helps to understand how the list is organised. You can see an overview on our channel list page.

What is an IPTV channels list?

It's the playlist your subscription provides: every live channel, its logo, its category and the link the player uses to stream it. Players read it from your Xtream Codes login or M3U URL.

How a good channel list is organised

UK live TV

Entertainment, drama and factual channels, plus regional variations. See local channels.

Sport

Grouped by broadcaster or sport, often with separate HD, FHD and 4K versions. See sport on IPTV.

Films

Film channels by genre, alongside the separate on-demand library. See films and box sets.

Kids

Pre-school, cartoons and family channels — easy to lock with parental controls.

News

UK and international rolling news. See news channels.

International

Country groups such as US, Ireland, France, Germany, Poland, India, Arabic and many more.

How to browse a big list efficiently

  1. Hide groups you don't need (in TiviMate: long-press a group → Hide).
  2. Build favourites for your everyday channels — our favourites guide shows how.
  3. Use search — most players let you type part of a channel name.
  4. Use the TV guide to see what's on now across your favourites.
  5. Prefer the quality you can stream: choose HD versions if your broadband is limited.

Why a modern line-up beats traditional TV

  • UK and world TV without extra packs.
  • The same list on every device in your home.
  • An on-demand library alongside live channels.

Channel list problems and fixes

1. The list is empty after install

Check your login details, then refresh the playlist. Make sure your subscription is active.

2. Some channels are missing

Groups may be hidden in the app, or the list hasn't refreshed. Refresh, then check hidden groups.

3. Logos are missing

Logos load from the internet; give it a few minutes or refresh the playlist.

4. Channels appear but won't play

Restart the app and router. If one channel fails, report it to support with the time.

5. The list takes ages to load

Large lists are slow on older devices. Hide unused groups or use a faster player like TiviMate.
