IPTV sounds technical, but day to day it feels like any other TV app. If you can install Netflix, you can set up IPTV. These five steps take you from zero to watching.
Step 1: Choose your plan (or start with a trial)
Plans differ by length and by how many screens can stream at once. If you're new, start with the free 24-hour trial, then pick a plan once you know it works on your setup. Compare plans on our pricing page.
Check your broadband first:
| What you want to watch | Speed per screen |
|---|---|
| Standard definition | 5 Mbps |
| Full HD | 10 Mbps |
| 4K Ultra HD | 25 Mbps |
Step 2: Choose your device
- Fire TV Stick — the most popular, affordable choice.
- Smart TV — Samsung and LG TVs can install player apps.
- Apple TV or Android TV box — fast and powerful.
- Phone, tablet or computer — great for second screens.
See all compatible devices.
Step 3: Install your IPTV app
A player app shows your channels. The most popular are IPTV Smarters (simple, everywhere) and TiviMate (TV-style guide). Follow the guide for your device — for example Firestick or Smart TV.
Step 4: Enter your login details
You'll receive a server URL, username and password (Xtream Codes) and/or an M3U link. Copy them exactly — they're case-sensitive. Some Smart TV apps instead show a MAC address that we activate for you. More in IPTV login help.
Step 5: Set up favourites and the TV guide
Add your everyday channels to favourites and check the TV guide (EPG) has loaded. See favourites and EPG setup.
What to expect after setup
The first load can take a minute or two while channels and the guide download. After that, apps open quickly and remember your favourites.
If something doesn't work first time
- Re-check your login details (most issues are typos).
- Restart the app and your router.
- See IPTV not working or message our support team.
Making the most of your first week
- Try catch-up on supported channels — see catch-up.
- Install the app on a second device.
- Explore the films and series library.
- Test a big live event at peak time.
